Slice the beef into thin pieces and set aside in a bowl.
Finely chop the onion and chives then set aside.
Season the beef with soy sauce, sugar, curry powder and 5-spice powder. Mix well then leave to marinade for 5 minutes.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet. Once the oil is hot (on a high heat) fry the onion for 1 minute. Then add the seasoned meat and stir until browned or slightly pink (around 3 minutes max.).
Turn off the heat and continue stirring. Add the chives and salt. Now serve!
